Fellowes Moves into Verdion’s iPort, Doncaster

16. 11. 2016

Verdion, the European logistics specialist, has handed over the completed 145,000 sq ft (13,470 sq m) logistics unit to Fellowes at iPort in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Fellowes, the global manufacturer and marketer of office business products, storage and workspace management solutions, will move into IP2b, one of iPort’s new speculatively built units. IP2b is its new UK headquarters and EU shared service building.

Michel van Beek, President Fellowes EMEA and Asia, comments: “Our staff are excited to move into these state of the art premises and A Grade logistics park. The facilities available at the site, combined with the excellent transport links available, will support our drive to continuously improve the services we deliver to our customers globally.”

John Clements, European Development Director of Verdion, commented: “It’s a pleasure to announce the successful and timely handover of this warehouse space to Fellowes. We are confident that the boost this offers to Fellowes’ UK operations will bring new opportunity to the region and we look forward to other major companies joining us at iPort.”

iPort is a Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) which will deliver Grade A logistics warehousing linked with a high specification rail fright intermodal container facility. It has the capacity to provide rail freight services with continental gauge clearance to all major UK ports and the Channel Tunnel.

As well as the 565,000 sq ft (52,489 sq m) of speculative development announced recently by Verdion, the scheme offers design and build warehouse/logistics units from 50,000 (4,645 sq m) to 2 million sq ft (92,900 sq m). Within Phase One, over 2 million sq ft (185,000 sq m) has already been committed to companies including Amazon and CEVA.

Verdion is developing the scheme on a 337-acre (136 hectare) site in Rossington, Doncaster. The site is linked with Junction 3 of the M18 via the Great Yorkshire Way, which opened in February 2016.

Gent Visick, CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield are letting agents for iPort.
